Can I Transfer Software from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Using USB

Hi, I currently have Windows 7. It is no longer supported by Microsoft. I have to get a computer with Windows 10. My question is what is the best way to copy my software from Windows 7 to Windows 10? I have some programs that I need to transfer. Is the best way using a flash drive in the USB port or is there a better way? How do I go about transferring with the USB? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hello, here is my advice. It can be quite complicated if you want to use USB to move the software. You have to make sure that you can find the setup files and the .exe files for your programs. Only by reinstalling the program can you use it on your Windows 10 PC. Also, you have to deal with compatibility issues. Your Windows 10 PC might not support some Windows 7 software.

I did not choose this manual method when I used my new PC. I found a more convenient tool instead, which is called EaseUS Todo PCTrans. It can transfer the applications from a PC to another without reinstallation. Also, it supports multiple Windows operating system, including Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Here is a guide for you:

Step 1. Download and launch EaseUS Todo PCTrans on your Windows 7 PC and Windows 10 PC.

Step 2. Connect both computers by entering the provided password or verification code.

Step 3. In the "PC to PC" tab, select "This is Old PC" on your old Windows 7 PC. You can also select "This is New PC" on your new Windows 10 PC.

Step 4. Select the apps you want and click "Transfer" to move to your new Windows 10 PC.

It's quite easy to transfer software with this data migration software. It can also move files, games, and other data from one PC to another. I recommend you try it.
