The Hogwarts Legacy game save location and config files are both located on the C drive of your computer by default. You can find them in the following path.

The Hogwarts Legacy save location is located:

Local Disk (C:) > Users > Your Username > AppData > Local > Hogwarts Legacy > Saved >SaveGames

The Hogwarts Legacy config file is located:

Local Disk (C:) > Users > Your Username > AppData > Local > Hogwarts Legacy > Saved > Config > WindowsNoEditor

The Hogwarts Legacy game saves can store your personal game process, while the config files are the key data for the game to run normally. They are both essential when you need to change a computer but want to keep the game-related configuration and progress.

Apart from the situation when you change a computer, finding the Hogwarts Legacy location to create a backup is also necessary to prevent game data loss. Of course, the Hogwarts Legacy cloud saves on Steam, Xbox, PS, etc., will also save the game process, but they are prone to loss due to the instability of the network. So, it is best to back up the Cloud save as well.

You can try professional backup software - EaseUS Todo Backup, which will safeguard your game save files with simple clicks. Besides the file backup features, it also supports backing up disks, app data, and creating a system image. YOu can use it as a daily cyber security protection tool.
