As long as the upgrade procedure is followed correctly, upgrading to Windows 11 should not result in the loss of your games. However, taking cautious precautions to protect the safety of your crucial files and data is always advised.

It's a good idea to back up your game save files with reputable backup software like EaseUS Todo Backup. You can produce a complete and exact copy of all your games loaded on your computer by creating a game file backup, which includes all installed settings, passwords, game processes, and so on. This allows you to restore your game to its former state if any problems develop during the upgrade process or if you experience compatibility issues with particular games after updating.

EaseUS Todo Backup has an easy-to-use interface and a wide range of backup options, making it an excellent choice for file, disk, system, and App backup. Here's how to use EaseUS Todo Backup to backup games:

  • Downloaded and installed EaseUS Todo Backup.
  • Start the application and choose "Create backup" > "File".
  • Choose the game files that you need to back up.
  • Choose a location to save the backup of the game. It is recommended that you utilize an external hard drive or a separate partition on the internal storage of your computer.
  • Customize any advanced parameters, such as compression level or encryption options, to your liking.
  • Click "Backup now" to begin the process of creating the system image.

When the game backup is finished, you will have a complete copy of your game files. If any unexpected complications arise during the Windows 11 update, resulting in data loss or game deletion, you can restore the game data to its prior condition using the backup produced with EaseUS Todo Backup.
