I was trying to clone an old disk with cloning software yesterday. It seems to work when I check the data within the program. It copies all partitions except for the Recovery partition, which I figured would be OK. However, the M.2 won't boot when I insert it into a new PC. It won't even recognize the SSD. If there's a better way, please let me know. Thanks!

EaseUS Partition Master offers a free feature for users to clone partitions on HDD/SSD.
EaseUS Partition Master Free allows you to clone all the partitions on your disk for free, including the system partition. You can follow the steps here to clone the disk for free and boot from your new drive:
Step 1. Insert the new drive into your old PC and boot up.
Step 2. Then, press "Windows" + "R" and enter diskmgmt.msc to open Disk Management.
Step 3. Right-click on the new disk and initialize the hard drive.
Step 4. Now, open EaseUS Partition Master and go to "Disk Clone" > "Clone Partition."
Step 5. Select the partitions you want to clone, choose the destination partition, and then start cloning.
Step 6. Repeat the operation for all the partitions you want.
After cloning the hard drive, change the boot order from BIOS, and then you should be able to boot from the new disk.
However, if the problem persists and you still can't boot from the cloned SSD, please check the following page for troubleshooting.
