Can I move the recovery partition to the end of the drive? Yes, you can. However, due to the Windows system restrictions, the factory settings and system recovery files will become invalid if you move or resize the recovery partition. Actually, you don't have to move or delete the recovery partition before extending other partitions.

EaseUS Partition Master Professional will set you free from Windows Disk Management restrictions, allowing you to extend system partition or C drive) even when there is recovery partition straight behind it. With its "Resize/Move" or "Allocate space" features, users can resize partition with non-adjacent unallocated space or allocate free space from another partition.

Option 1. With Unallocated Space

  • Right-click the System partition and hit "Resize/Move."
  • To add the system partition end to the system C disk, drag it into the available space and select "OK."
  • Press "Apply" and "Execute Task" to proceed with the actions and expand the C drive.

Option 2. Without Unallocated Space

  • Right-click and choose "Allocate Space" from a large partition on the system disk that has enough free space.
  • In the Allocate Space From (*) To section, select the system drive and drag System C's end into the unallocated space. To confirm, click "OK".
  • In the Allocate Space From (*) To section, select the system drive and drag System C's end into the unallocated space. To confirm, click "OK".

If you have already backed up the whole system disk to another storage device, you can delete the recovery partition to free up more space and extend other partitions. EaseUS Partition Master is the best choice while Windows won't let you delete the recovery partition:
