Hi, I have bought a Seagate 2 TB hard drive. I want to install Windows 10 on it for dual boot. The problem is that I don't have another partition for that. How can I create a new partition there using a command? Which command should I use? I have no idea what I should type in, so could you please help me solve this problem? I appreciate any suggestion on this issue.

Hello, the diskpart command is helpful in managing your computer's drives effectively. But there are over two hundred command lines in Windows, and I can help you find the correct one to create a new partition.
Step 1. Run CMD on your Windows computer.
Step 2. Enter diskpart and then type list disk.
Step 3. Type Select disk x (Replace x with the number of the disk you want to choose).
Step 4. Type Create partition primary size=10000 (The number refers to the size in megabytes).
After creating a partition, you can install Windows 10 on it. However, Diskpart can be difficult if you are not familiar with all the command lines. You need to take caution when typing the commands. Incorrect commands can cause errors that you might find challenging to face. To make things easier, I recommend you use a reliable tool for fixing disk issues known as EaseUS Partition Master Professional. It can help create a new partition much easier.
💡Note: You need to initialize your hard drive first if it is brand new. Then, you can create new partitions on it. Click to learn how to initialize a hard drive.
Here is a guide for you:
Step 1. Run EaseUS Partition Master on your Windows PC.
Step 2. Right-click on your Seagate 2 TB hard drive and choose "Resize/Move". Drag either end of the partition to get enough unallocated space. Click "OK" to execute the task.
Step 3. Right-click on the unallocated space and choose "Create". Choose the partition size, drive letter, and file system. Then, click "OK" to save the changes.
EaseUS Partition Master allows you to create a new partition on your hard drive more flexibly. You don't need to go through the complex process of typing commands. I think you can have a try.
