How to Recover Data from Formatted Partition on Windows 10
I had some problems with my Windows 10, so installing a fresh Windows 10 on my laptop would be a good idea. I had a partition selected just for that. But I chose the wrong partition with my only backup of everything and formatted it. How to recover my data?

Suppose your Windows 10 have any backup programs, they will automatically back up your data, or you can check Windows Backup and Restore options. Connect an external hard drive, and put your backups in. Type Control Panel in the search box. After opening the Control Panel, click 'Backup and Restore'. Choose a safe location to restore data, and decide which backup you want to recover.
If this doesn't work, to recover data from formatted partitions, especially for essential data, it is recommended to use a professional data recovery tool EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard.
It can recover data lost due to deleting, formatting, partition loss, unbootable or crashed system, and virus attack from PC, USB drives, SD cards, cameras, and other devices. Follow the steps below:
Step 1. Launch EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard to unformat HDDs. Choose the hard drive partition you've formatted and click 'Scan'.
Step 2. This formatted hard drive partition recovery software will start scanning for all the deleted data and files. After scanning, click 'Filter' to quickly filter the specific file types you need. Or click search folders to select the data you want to recover.
Step 3. Preview the scanned files or data. Then, select what you wish to recover and click 'Recover'. Choose a new safe location to store the files and click 'OK'.
Remember to keep a good backup habit if you don't want to experience data loss again. You can follow the steps below to make a system backup or use professional backup software to do so.
- Open 'Settings'.
- Click 'Update & Security'.
- Click 'Backup'.
- Click 'Go to Backup and Restore' under the 'Looking for an older backup' section.
