Why Can't I Uninstall Riot Client?

Hello, everyone. I recently removed Valorant and the anti-cheat software, but I'm not sure how to get rid of the Riot Games client. Can someone tell me what exactly I should do?

The Riot Client is a central hub that allows users to access, download, install, and play Riot Games' PC library, including titles like League of Legends, VALORANT, and Teamfight Tactics, from a single unified interface.

Riot Client is an executable app, not a typical program that can be uninstalled through Control Panel or Settings. This means the normal uninstall process doesn't work for it. Luckily, you can rely on an efficient uninstaller, such as EaseUS Todo PCTrans Free, or a reliable manual way:

Note: Uninstall all Riot games, remove Riot Vanguard anti-cheat software, and close all Riot-related processes running in the background.

Step 1. Launch this software and open App Management. Click "Start" to move on.

Step 2. Then, you will view the installed Apps on your PC and select the Riot Client you want to uninstall. (You can also click the small triangle icon and choose "Delete.")

Step 3. Click "Uninstall"  to securely and completely delete Riot Client.

To properly uninstall Riot Client manually, you need to:

Step 1. Uninstall all Riot games (like Valorant and League of Legends) first.

Step 2. Uninstall Riot Vanguard anti-cheat software.

Step 3. Manually delete the Riot Games folders from multiple locations, including:

  • C:\Users$$YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Riot Games
  • C:\Program Files\Riot Games
  • Any shortcuts in the Start Menu

Step 4. Empty the Recycle Bin and restart your PC.
