Unable to Shrink the C Drive Beyond 455 GB- Help
I was trying to partition my 1 TB hard drive in a new Windows 10 laptop from HP by using the Disk Management tool. I would like to keep the following partition sizes: C Drive: 200 GB; D Drive: 400 GB; and E Drive: 300 GB. However, I am unable to proceed as the shrink cannot go beyond 50%, and it doesn't allow Volume C to be less than 455 GB. Will I be able to shrink my C drive to 200 GB successfully? How can I do so?

Hello, there is a reason why you failed to shrink your C drive. In fact, the size of the shrinking space of the C drive is limited by some factors. There are unmovable files at the end of the C drive, such as hibernation files and page files. You cannot shrink your C drive beyond the sector where your unmovable files are located. In your case, they take 455 GB. That's why you receive the notice.
Luckily, I know a tool which can help overcome this technical problem in Windows OS. You can use EaseUS Partition Master Professional. You don't need to make any system changes to shrink you C drive to your ideal size, 200 GB as you mentioned. The tool can adjust your partition size flexibly according to your needs with its "Resize/Move" feature. You can simply change your C drive size to 200 GB within a few clicks.

Step 1. Run EaseUS Partition Master. Go to the "Partition Manager" section.
Step 2. Select and right-click on your C drive. Choose "Resize/Move".
